The Silver Entertainment Director (aka Experience and Lifestyle Director) is responsible for shaping how it feels to live at Silver Collection communities. This role brings the Silver Collection experience strategy to life on property by curating meaningful, well paced, and socially engaging experiences that foster belonging, reflect local culture, and strengthen resident connection.
This position exists to move beyond transactional events and toward intentional lifestyle design, creating a community environment that supports resident satisfaction, retention, and pride of place. The Director serves as both an experience leader and cultural steward, ensuring that programming, partnerships, and resident engagement feel cohesive, relevant, and distinctly Silver.

Overview
The Silver Experience Director is responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and hosting a series of weekly meaningful resident experiences and events that strengthen community connection, enhance lifestyle, and support resident retention across Silver Collection properties. Events will be programmed daily, with larger scale “hero” type events occurring at a minimum twice a month. This role brings the Silver Collection experience program to life on property, balancing consistency and brand standards with local flavor, regional relevance, and resident driven energy.
The Director operates with a high level of Home Office and autonomy, managing programming execution, vendor relationships, budgets, and on site delivery. The goal of this role is to create a vibrant, socially connected community environment that feels intentional, welcoming, and distinctly Silver.
Reporting Structure
At the Property Level, the Entertainment Director reports to the on-site Community Managers on budget approvals, operational needs, and community specific considerations.
The Director reports bi-weekly and as necessary to the Corporate Office on upcoming programming, event performance, engagement trends, and creative opportunities.
The Entertainment Director is accountable for the timely, high quality execution of all programs, events, reporting, and deliverables.
Office, leasing, hospitality, and maintenance team support will be provided as needed and coordinated by the Director of Entertainment.
Core Responsibilities
Programming & Experience Planning
Execute the provided annual and monthly programming calendar as designed by the Corporate Office, maintaining the proven cadence, structure, and storytelling of the Silver Collection experience program.
Create new, additional experiences crafted from the overall property experience strategy, ensuring all property driven programming aligns with Silver Collection strategic positioning and resident needs.
Adapt programming with thoughtful, property specific flavor while preserving brand intent, consistency, and overall experience rhythm.
Plan and manage each community monthly event calendar using the owner assigned budget.
Deliver an average of three unique resident experiences per community per week, excluding fitness classes and ongoing activities. Events will be programmed daily, with larger scale “hero” type events occurring at a minimum twice a month.
Utilize mixer style experiences when appropriate to efficiently serve multiple communities.
Integrate third party or hosted events sponsored by local businesses to enhance programming and resident value.
Large Scale Signature Experiences
Plan and execute a minimum of two large scale resident experiences per quarter, ensuring at least one major experience per quarter at each property.
Develop all large scale experiences in collaboration with the Corporate Office, aligning with the pre created experience program and overarching brand vision.
Ensure large scale experiences reflect portfolio wide consistency while allowing for regional relevance and local personality.
Lean into local and regional festivals, seasons, cultural moments, and community traditions, with an expectation to design original experiences inspired by these moments.
Event Execution & On Site Leadership
Oversee end to end execution of all events and experiences, from preparation through breakdown, in close partnership with on site teams.
Coordinate setup, operational flow, and cleanup, ensuring shared spaces are returned to their original condition.
Manage vendors, supplies, décor, and production elements with a focus on efficiency, visual impact, and overall resident experience.
Serve as the primary on site host and experience leader, actively engaging residents and fostering a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
Work collaboratively with leasing, hospitality, maintenance, and management teams to ensure seamless execution.
Property Collaboration & Experience Storytelling
Liaise with all on site departments for every experience to ensure property wide alignment, cohesion, and consistent storytelling.
Clearly communicate the intent, tone, and goals of each experience so all team members understand how their role supports the resident journey.
Foster a culture where experiences feel integrated into daily life at the property rather than isolated events.
Resident Engagement, Advisory Input & Affinity Groups
Actively solicit resident feedback, ideas, and insights to inform future programming and strengthen engagement.
Collaborate with residents to identify, launch, and support resident led affinity groups that foster deeper connection and belonging.
Send out quarterly surveys to residents and onsite teams to capture resident sentiment, feedback and experience suggestions. Through these surveys, the Entertainment Director should take that feedback and incorporate it into programming and calendar. Encourage the formation of groups based on shared interests, lifestyles, and identities including book clubs, professional or networking groups, wellness circles, creative collectives, cultural groups, or hobby based gatherings.
Serve as a facilitator and connector, helping residents move from idea to activation.
Provide light structure and logistical support to affinity groups including space coordination, scheduling, promotion, and integration into the broader programming calendar when appropriate.
Balance resident input and group activity with brand standards and the curated experience calendar to ensure programming remains intentional and cohesive.
Calendars, Communication & Reporting
Design and distribute a monthly graphic calendar for print and digital use.
Maintain up to date signage and shared space communications highlighting upcoming experiences.
Ensure leasing teams are fully informed and equipped to confidently communicate programming to residents and prospects.
Schedule and distribute event reminders through approved communication platforms.
Provide regular reporting to stakeholders including attendance, visual documentation, budget tracking, and qualitative feedback.
Community Partnerships & Sponsorships
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and cultural partners.
Secure sponsorships and partnerships that align with the Silver Collection brand and resident lifestyle.
Ensure partner involvement enhances programming quality while maintaining experience standards.
Marketing & Brand Representation
Represent Silver Collection at local events, networking opportunities, and community gatherings as needed.
Support leasing and marketing teams with open houses, public facing activations, and creative outreach initiatives.
Use experiences as a storytelling tool to introduce prospective residents to the Silver Collection lifestyle.
Promote programming through approved social media channels and post event storytelling. Ensure that all posts, follows and social media engagement is conducted in accordance with the Silver Collection Social Media Guidelines.
Budget & Administrative Oversight
Manage assigned event budgets responsibly and transparently.
Submit receipts, invoices, and reporting in accordance with company policies and timelines.
Coordinate with Community Managers on month end adjustments and reconciliations.
