We are now accepting nominations for key leadership roles on our Board of Directors for the upcoming term. This is your chance to help shape the future of our network and champion innovation, inclusion, and engagement across the field of recreation.
We are seeking passionate, forward-thinking individuals for the following positions:
π President-Elect (3-year term)
Help lead the strategic vision of REC Net. As President-Elect, you'll support the current President while preparing for the National Conference. This position is ideal for someone with a deep commitment to our mission and a desire to steer the future of the association.
Key qualities: Visionary leadership, strategic thinking, organizational knowledge, commitment to recreation industry growth.
𧲠Director of Vendor Recruitment (2-year term)
Be the connector! This role leads efforts to grow and diversify our vendor network. You'll develop initiatives to attract new talent into the field and foster partnerships that support our vendors in recreation.
Key qualities: Strong communication skills, recruitment experience, understanding of workforce development, relationship-building strengths.
π€ Director of Marketing & Communication (2-year term)
Lead marketing and communication initiatives that grow engagement, promote conferences and events, and strengthen connections with both current and prospective members.
Key qualities: Creativity, community-building expertise, strong comfort with digital engagement
π Secretary (2-year term)
Keep our board organized and informed. As Secretary, you'll document meeting minutes, maintain official records, and help ensure clear communication and continuity across the Board. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys supporting a well-functioning team.
Key qualities: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, clear written communication, reliability, ability to maintain accurate records.
π€ Director of Professional Recruitment (1-year term)
Help us grow! This role leads efforts to grow and diversify our professional network. You'll develop and implement initiatives to attract new professionals to our association as well as work with the President to focus on regional recruitment near the national conference.
Key qualities: Strong communication skills, recruitment experience, understanding of professional membership brackets, relationship-building strengths.
